Tender Care History

Tender Care began servicing the Gettysburg community in 1988 then expanded the ministry to Hanover in December of 1990, and Westminster MD in 2012.

Real Commitment was added in 1998 and then spun off as a separate ministry in 2002 as WAIT Training. Tender Care implemented SRA, Sexual Risk Avoidance in 2014, and currently teaches Healthy Relationships in local school districts, as Project W.O.R.T.H. (When Our Relationships Take Hold).

Tender Care serves Adams County, the greater Hanover area and Westminster, Maryland Area.

Mission Statement

Tender Care seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where individuals can come to discuss their pregnancy related concerns in hope of a positive choice.

Core Values

Sanctity of Human Life:  We value all human life beginning at conception with the specific charge to protect, nurture, and save the unborn, offering alternatives to abortion and giving support through birth and beyond.

Christian Principles:  We value the truth of God’s Word and the love He has shown us through His Son, Jesus Christ.  We are committed to living the gospel by reflecting His love in all that we do.

Unconditional Love:  We value each person regardless of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, age, income, religious affiliation, disability or marital status.  We believe we are called by God to demonstrate His Love by ministering to practical, spiritual and emotional needs.

Integrity:  We value maintaining integrity in our Christian witness in the community and therefore are committed to honesty and accuracy in all dealings. We will protect patient confidentiality except when required by law to disclose information to protect against harm.

Education:  We value the role education plays in our patients’ ability to make informed decisions and are committed to providing the practical information needed to help them plan constructively for themselves and their baby’s future.
